Purency scores cosmetic and personal-care products from their ingredients. Write to us any time at the address below; we usually answer within two working days.
How is the score calculated?
Each ingredient is classified by its hazard under EU cosmetic regulation and public data, weighted by how much of it the product likely contains (its place on the label) and how the product is used (rinse-off or leave-on). The score starts at 100 and goes down for each concern. Your skin profile adds personal notes but never changes the score.
What does “Estimated” mean?
When there is no ingredient list for a product yet, Purency estimates one from the product's name, brand and packaging. Estimated scores are marked and can differ from the real product. Scan the ingredient list on the package to replace the estimate with an exact score for everyone.
A product is wrong or missing
Scan its barcode and photograph the ingredient list, or search for it in Discover and tap “Ask Purency”.
Reporting content and blocking
Use the ••• menu next to any post, comment or review to report it or block its author. We review reports within 24 hours. You can unblock people in Profile → Blocked users.
Deleting your account
Profile → Delete account permanently deletes your profile and everything you posted.
